The Friends Place

Come and enjoy a beautiful view of the Penokee Mountains from The Friends Place at the library.  Grab a cup of coffee or tea from the Friends Coffee Corner and relax outside while reading the paper.  We have The Mellen Weekly Record, Ashland Daily Press, The Glidden Enterprise, Bottom Line News, and Ironwood’s The Globe available to read at the library.  There are outlets for charging your devices as needed.  We’ve added a plastic bin of games to play at the table.  It’s a beautiful spot to visit with friends & neighbors.

The library is again participating in the Northern Waters Library Network Passport program.  Pick up a passport from the library, visit other libraries in the Northern Waters Library Service area and have them stamp your passport.  Once you have visited 10 different libraries you will be entered in a drawing to win prizes.
