Friends of the Library

The Mellen Friends of the Library and Legion Memorial Library have been best of friends since 1976. Through the members' dedication and countless hours of volunteer work; the Friends continue to enrich our community by sustaining and expanding the library's facility, materials, and services.

Friends of the Library meetings are normally held each month on the 1st Thursday of the month at 5:00 p.m. Meetings last about an hour and everyone is welcome to attend.

The next meeting is November 2nd, 2023 at 6 pm at the Library.  We encourage current members to invite a friend for our November meeting.  We'll serve light refreshments and share past projects of our Friends and projects in progress.  We'll be concluding our membership drive with with a drawing for a polar fleece blanket made by Sally Sarnstrom in memory of her mother, Joan Schultz.
