New books have arrived!  Stop in and see if anything appeals to you.  Or visit The Catalog from our library’s website, legionmemoriallibrary.org and place a hold.  We will notify you when it is available for pickup at the library.

During the month of August on Tuesday mornings at 10:30am the library will be showing a kids’ movie.  You are welcome to bring your own comfy camp chair, snacks, and a beverage.  The library will supply popcorn.

The Friends meeting was moved to the second Thursday, August 13th at 5pm with the movie “You, Me and Tuscany” to follow at about 6pm.

Adult Paint Night is Friday, August 14th at 6pm and we’ll be painting along with Michelle the Painter to create “Scream for Ice Cream”.  It is a picture of a triple scoop of ice cream on a cone.

August’s Adult Storytime will be held on the 20th at 7pm.  Our theme this month is the County Fair.  I’ll read excerpts from “Meet Me on the Midway, A History of Wisconsin Fairs” by Jerry Apps.  Please do bring your memories of times spent at the fair.  Bring something you’ve entered in a fair or pictures of your time at the fair.  We will be enjoying a homemade pie.

Tweens & Teens Paint Day is Friday, August 21st at 1pm   We’ll be painting “Splatter Galaxy” with Skye the Painter.  As it will be a ‘splatter’ painting, please bring or wear a paint clothes.  I’m hoping for a beautiful day outside to splatter.

Asahi Nordic Exercise is on hold until September 2nd.

There is a whole month left to record reading points.  Stop in and join a reading team, earn reading points, a medal and patches.  There are dinosaur crafts and a bird craft to Take & Make.
