Santa & Mrs. Claus to Visit Library 11/9/2022
Thank you to all who attended our acrylic painting workshops. Cinnamon Cooney, The Art Sherpa had another great online presentation. You may check out our results on the Legion Memorial Library Facebook page. Our next painting will be in December with the date TBA.
The library will be closed on Thanksgiving and Friday the 25th. We will be open on Saturday, 9 am-Noon on the 26th.
Kids Cozy Corner Notes: While attending the WLA Conference, I was lucky to hear one of Wisconsin’s authors, Kevin Henkes. He is the author and illustrator of “Sheila Rae, the Brave”, “Chrysanthemum”, “Owen”, and “Wemberly Worried”. One of my favorites is “My Garden” where a little girl imagines what she’d like to grow in her garden. Imagine a garden where a jelly bean bush would grow, or buttons, or keys or chocolate rabbits and no weeds. I’ll have Kevin Henkes’s books on display this week. Stop by and pick up one with a Take & Make craft.
Mark your calendars now to attend the annual visit of Santa & Mrs. Claus at the Library. The Mellen Lions Club has once again invited the North Pole couple to join us on Saturday, December 10th 1-3 pm. Be sure to bring your camera. The jolly couple always brings a book for each child to take home and keep. One lucky child will be the winner of a bicycle drawing. Thank you Mellen Lions!
