The Friends of the Library are hosting a Grand Opening for their outdoor space in conjunction with their Annual Quilt Raffle on Saturday, September 24th. The Mellen Chamber will start our day with a ribbon cutting at 9 am. A propane tank exchange courtesy of Enbridge will take place at 10 am. Between 9 am & noon stop by to enjoy Milk & cookies courtesy of the Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, the Chequamegon Dairy Association, and The Friends of the Library. This is the day the annual Friends of the Library membership drive begins. Find out how you can become a member and support the Library. You may purchase raffle tickets for $1 each. Check out the Friends used book sale and fill a bag for $1. Especially for the kiddos … Enjoy the StoryWalk of “The Dot” by Peter H. Reynolds. Then “Make your mark” and be entered to win art supplies. Help plant bulbs for a happy Spring surprise and decorate a set of book ends. It will be a great day to ask about the Library’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, Storytime, and our new patch program. Hoping for a beautiful day of sunshine and Friends.
