October 9 – Library School Storytime

Library School Storytime is underway!  This program is planned for 3 year old children to attend with an adult caregiver.  Although younger and older children are welcome to attend.  We will read a book, learn a rhyme, sing, and have time to play and checkout books.  If you’d like to attend, contact the library.  Book marks with the schedule and list of book titles are available.  Seven more weekly gatherings to go in this, the first of three sessions.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten is an early literacy promotion program.  Stop by and get started with your little ones today.  It’s never too early to start sharing good books.

Monday, October 14th at 6 PM, What Kind of Book Club Is This?!?! will meet to discuss, “Maisie Dobbs” by Jacqueline Winspear.  There’s been a change in our order of books.  We’ll be passing out, “Everything I Never Told You” by Celeste Ng for our discussion in November.  We hope to come back to “The Handmaids Tale” by Margaret Atwood later.  Atwood’s “The Testament” has just been released and many are reviewing, “The Handmaids Tale” before picking up “The Testament”.  Which means we can’t borrow enough copies for all of our members through inter-library loan.
Wednesday, October 16th at noon, Book Club will meet to discuss, “Celine” by Peter Heller. “Victoria” by Daisy Goodwin will be November’s book and will be available for checkout on the 16th.
October 16th at 1:30 PM the library will show the movie, “Toy Story 4”.  We’ll have popcorn!
Stop by the library to see what’s new.
