October 16 – Afternoon Movie

The library will host a movie afternoon today, Wednesday, October 16th at 1:30 PM.  We will be playing, “Toy Story 4”.  We’ll make the popcorn and you are welcome bring your own additional snacks and beverage.

The Library Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, October 16th at 5 PM.

Library School Storytime continues this week on Thursday morning at 9 AM.  Join us in reading, “A Tree Is Nice” by Janice May Udry.  If you have not yet attended Storytime, please contact the library to register or for more information.

The library has several displays at present.  Halloween books are on display in the children’s area.  “Blind Date” books are at the front desk.  You select a brown paper wrapped book and check it out.  Who knows what you may get?  Fiction?  Non-Fiction?  Western?  Or a romance?!? Banned/Challenged Book Week was recently celebrated.  Would you be surprised to learn that, “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, and the “Giver” by Lois Lowry made the list?  Come check out something, if you dare . . .
