The library is now able to provide the Ashland Daily Press on Thursdays.  Thanks to Northland Foods.  A library staff member stops by the store and picks up a copy in the morning.  Then you may stop by the library and see what the news of the week is and what’s ahead for the weekend.  The library also carries the Mellen Weekly Record, The Glidden Enterprise, and the Ironwood Globe. Enjoy the paper in our rocking chair with a cup of coffee.  The newspapers are not available for checkout but need to be shared within the library.  If you’d like your own copy, they are available for purchase at Northland Foods.

Asahi is an exercise program developed in Finland.  Join us on Wednesdays at 4pm beginning January 29th.  All ages are welcome.  The movements are completed with attention to your breathing.  Wear comfortable clothing (no mats needed) and join us for ASAHI: A Simple And Healthy Idea.  The Friends of the Library are sponsoring this weekly event.
The Northwest Wisconsin Investment Board has received a grant to help close the digital divide.  Grants monies have been dedicated to creating the program “Click & Learn” which will be hosted by Digital Navigator, Jay Seppanen.  He will be here weekly to answer questions about laptops, tablets, and phones. Laptops will be available for checkout through this program as well.  Stop by the library on Wednesdays 10am to 1:30pm with your questions and receive help from Jay.
New books arrived and are available in large print:  Grave Danger by James Grippando, Daughter of Ruins by Yvette Manessis Corporon, Eddie Winston Is Looking for Love by Marianne Cronin, Where the Creek Bends by Linda Lael Miller, The Note by Alafair Burke, The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis, The Texas Murders by James Patterson, Never Say Never by Danielle Steel, and There Are Rivers In the Sky by Elif Shafak.
Hope to see you soon at the library.
