March 4 – “Long Way Round, Through the Heartland by River”
Thank you one and all, who came to welcome author, John Hildebrand to our library last Thursday. He shared pictures from the trip he wrote about in, “Long Way Round, Through the Heartland by River” and read selections from the chapters about the Bad River. It was a very enjoyable evening.
This past Friday and Saturday, we hosted acrylic painting sessions. One for teens and adults in the evening and one for children to attend with their grown-up. We plan on hosting these events monthly. This Saturday, March 7th at 9:30 AM, the kids will gather once again to paint. This week we will be painting, “Baseball in Grass” by Cinnamon Cooney, the Art Sherpa. You must register to attend as space is limited. Please stop by or call the library 715-274-8331 to register. Last week’s pictures may be found by viewing the library‘s Facebook page: Legion Memorial Library.
The Friends of the Library will host a meeting Thursday, March 5th at 6 PM.

Stop by the library and enter your bid. The deadline is 1 PM on Thursday, March 5th. Payment will be expected, when chair is removed. The winner is responsible for moving the chair to its new home by March 12th.
The Friends of the Library‘s used book sale has had a turn over of materials. There are now many children’s books for sale. Stop by and fill a bag for $1.
Hope to see you soon at the Library!
