Lego Club continues to meet on Thursday afternoons at 3:30pm for an hour.  The library has a variety of books to scan for ideas.  Stop by and see the creations made in the last few weeks they are on display.

Library School Storytime will meet on Thursday, April 2nd and Thursday, April 9th from 9-10am.  This is a special time set aside for young children to visit the library with an adult caregiver.  We will read, sing, and play.  If this time does not work for you, you may be interested in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program.  You pick up a sheet to cross off numbers as you read books with your child.  If your child enjoys reading before bed, and you read their favorite bedtime book more than once before they fall asleep, you cross off numbers for however many times the book was read.  If it’s the same book 5 times a day, you mark it off 5 times.  The books may be borrowed from the library or from your own home collection.  The sheets have 100 boxes.  Once those boxes are filled, stop in the library to get a small prize and pick up another sheet.  Once you complete 1000 books, we have a special t-shirt for kids that you can personalize.

CLICK & Learn Digital Navigator, Jake Koval will be here at the library to help with your technology questions.  Bring your phone, tablet, or laptop and get help with your questions and concerns.  Jake will be here every other week.  He will be here on March 30, April 13 and April 27 from 10am -2pm.  CLICK & Learn also has laptops available to borrow and use.  Request one from our Digital Navigator.

Another session of Asahi is beginning.  All ages are welcome.  No special equipment is needed.  Wear comfortable clothing and you may choose to stand or sit during exercises.  The exercises focus on our breath, while we work on stretches and our balance through slow gentle movements.  We talk through and complete the movements with our instructor, Naomi Kauppi.  Then we complete the series of exercises in silence.  Classes are for about an hour.  Bring a friend and stop in on Wednesday afternoons at 4pm to give Asahi Nordic Exercise a try.

The Library Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday, March 31st at 5:05pm

The Friends will meet on Thursday, April 2nd at 5pm.  Stop in and see how you can help in the months ahead with the Bellringer Race, 50/50 Raffle, and our 2027 Library Centennial.

We are in search of old pictures of the library’s plays, summer reading, library school, and parade entries.  If you don’t have pictures to share, maybe you have a story.  You may drop off pictures, and we can scan and return them to you, or you may email pictures or stories to [email protected].

We hope to see you at the library sometime soon.
