March 13 – Celebrate with Us!

On March 12, 1927 Legion Memorial Library began serving the Mellen Area Community.  Stop by and celebrate with us on Saturday, March 16th.  The library will be open from 9 AM to noon.  A “Cake Walk” like game will be played at 10:30.  Instead of winning a cake, the prizes are gift certificates from local businesses.   Cake, coffee and punch will be served.  Take time to create a balloon sculpture and enjoy the day with friends.
Library School Storytime will be held on Thursday, March 14th at 9 AM.  Our theme will be, “bears”.  This literacy based program is planned for children entering Pre-K in the fall to attend with an adult caregiver.  That’s the plan, but all children are welcome to attend and participate as they are able with their grown-up.  We share stories, songs, rhymes, and make a craft.  This session will run each Thursday at 9 AM through the month of April.
There will be no Conversation & Crafts on Thursday, March 14th.  We’ll meet again next week on the 21st at 7 PM.
The final session of Brain Health & Nutrition Audio Presentation will be on Monday, March 18th, at 12:30.  This program has been presented by the Highbridge Homemakers Club.  Thank you for sharing this information.
Please note:  Library Cards are “good” for a year and then need to be updated.  You’ll need to confirm or update your address, email, and phone number.  A new expiration date of 2020 will be given.  Please note:  most of Mellen’s library cards have a March expiration date . . . stop by the library to update your card.  Thanks for your help in keeping our registered library card holder list current!
You can access ebooks and audio books from Wisconsin’s digital library and Gale online courses with your Library Card.  Stop by our Legion Memorial Library website to access links to these services.  Here’s the address:  https://www.legionmemoriallibrary.org/
