Library Card Signup Month 9/2/2020

September is Library Card Signup Month!  You may register for a temporary card online here:  https://merlin.nwls.lib.wi.us/selfreg.  Follow the instructions and enjoy your new adventures in reading.  You may borrow books through the Merlin catalog from any of our Northern Waters Library Service libraries in addition to the Mellen collection.  You may also use your card to borrow ebooks and audiobooks from OverDrive as well as gain access to Gale Courses.  View our Mellen library’s website at:  https://www.legionmemoriallibrary.org/ to find links to these sources.

We will continue our Curbside Pickup visits through the month of September.  Place holds online with your library card (If you need your card number call the library, 715-274-8331.)  Or call the library to place a hold, please do leave a message.

While the library is not open for visits, we’re still very busy inside.  Books are being ordered and processed.  Weeding our collection is an ongoing job, just like in the garden – we must make room for all those new books.  In addition, we have started organizing all the children’s projects from Library School Storytime and school visits.  There are many . . . many more than I have had time to think about.  Seeing them and remembering the fun putting them together is good incentive to complete this task.
