Kaleidoscope Dedication

Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Brittany Delegan

Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Brittany Delegan

Brittany Delegan sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” for the Friends of the Library’s kaleidoscope dedication.  Her beautiful clear notes of the lyrics touched my heart and I’m sure I was not alone.  The Friends Place is a space for our community to gather to share, learn, laugh and read.  A place to sit and recharge your spirit with the view of the Penokee Mountains.  The kaleidoscope offers a focal point for the curious.  Ideas of color and shapes for the artist.  Wonder and exploration for the budding scientists.    I hope that you may find the time to stop in every once in a while and find a certain sense of peace and wonder at The Friends Place.   Give the kaleidoscope a twirl and know that with the change in seasons, there will be changes and surprises in store.

Another reason to visit The Friends Place is to participate in our morning Asahi Nordic Exercise program.  We meet on Wednesdays at 8:30am.  This is an exercise for all ages and abilities.  We focus on breathing, balance, and movement.  We can complete the exercises standing or sitting. Come and join us we welcome new members.
