January 23 – Paintings on Library’s Facebook Page
This week’s Library School Storytime will feature the book, “Moon Plane” by Peter McCarty. This program is planned for three year olds to attend with an adult caregiver. All ages are welcome to attend and participate as they are able.
Monday the 28th we’ll be showing, “God Bless the Broken Road”. This is a 2018 movie about family, friends, faith and helping a young mother through the death of her husband in Afghanistan. The movie is rated PG and is 111 minutes. Monday Movies begin at Noon and include popcorn.
We had a great turn out for Saturday’s acrylic painting class. Check out the library‘s Facebook page, “Legion Memorial Library” for our completed works. We watched Cinnamon Cooney, The Art Sherpa’s YouTube video of “Frost Winter Morn” an interpretation of a Bob Ross painting. Our next painting will be a YouTube instruction by Angela Anderson’s “Winter Mittens”. A number of people have asked to be added to our participant list and so I’ve added another date. This is a 4″ x 4″ painting. A complete list of materials will be available once you register. Paint Dates: Thursday, February 14th at 6 PM and Saturday, February 23rd at 6 PM.
Check out the Library‘s Website: www.legionmemoriallibrary.org and find the online Merlin Catalog, access to Wisconsin’s Digital Library and Gale Courses. Our website also includes the library‘s calendar of events.
The Library Board’s Policy Committee will meet next Tuesday, January 29th at 4:30 PM with the Regular Monthly Meeting of the Library Board of Trustees to follow at 5:30 PM.
Hope to see you soon at the library.
