September is Library Card Sign-up Month! Stop by the library to get your library card and receive a vinyl sticker, “I “Heart” My Wisconsin Library”. Or stop by the library, show us your library card, and receive the sticker.
The library receives 25 copies of Book Page each month. Pick up your free copy and enjoy this guide for new books in a variety of categories. See what you’re interested in, make a list, and visit the library. If we don’t have it, we can borrow it from another library as soon as it becomes available.
The Friends of the Library will not be hosting their Quilt Raffle this year but invite you to join us at Copper Falls State Park on September 23rd for their Fall Fest. The Friends will have a pop-up tent where you may learn more about their organization and the Library. An assortment of Fall themed books will be read every half hour with a craft for the kiddos to work on. We hope to see you at the park this year!
September’s acrylic painting will be an online recording with Angela Anderson. We’ll paint her, “Autumn Trees Landscape”. The video is 2:01:42 long. If you’d like to join, please contact the library as our space is limited. The library will provide you with a supply list once you have registered. Be on the alert for a pop-up Plein Air Paint Night. We’re watching the Penokees from window and waiting for color to hit the hills. I’ll post on Facebook a day & time for gathering and painting outside. If you’re not on Facebook, contact me at the library.
September activities are 9/14 at 6pm, Acrylic Painting with Angela Anderson, “Autumn Trees Landscape”; 9/19 at 9am, Book Club will discuss, “Tobacco Wives” by Adele Myers; 9/21 at 6pm, Movie Night, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding”, and 9/28 at 6pm, Game Night
If you’re in need of a book and missed the library open hours, swing by Gilman Park and chose something from the Friends of the Library’s Little Free Library.
