February is Library Lovers’ Month
Our Northern Waters Library Network (NWLN) is encouraging library patrons to share why they love their library. You may share your ‘library love story’ on paper, love letter style or online here: https://forms.gle/uFNwJ1SdnW26LTv49 Those willing to share online will automatically be entered into a drawing to win a $50 Visa gift card. Those stopping by the library to fill out paper copies will receive a Hershey’s kiss and a chance to win a box of chocolates and may choose whether to share online. These stories will remind us why libraries are vital to our community. We hope to read your story and share it at the library.
Asahi Nordic Exercise will continue through the month March, thanks to the Friends of the Library. We meet Wednesdays at 4pm. Call and let us know if you’d like to join us. This exercise is a combination of stretching, breathing, and meditation.
Acrylic painters will be painting along with The Art Sherpa on Thursday, February 8, at 6pm. This month’s painting is titled, “Abstract Lovers”. Call or stop by the library if you’re interested in joining us.
The Monday Night Book Club will meet on February 12th at 6pm to discuss, “The Story of Arthur Truluv” by Elizabeth Berg. The Book Club will also chat about a name for their club and the upcoming 2024-25 reading list. Our library book club was started in the fall of 2004, and we hope to celebrate a year of ‘good reads’ selected by our members.
We have 25 copies of Book Page available for patrons to pick up and enjoy. Book Page highlights new books in a variety of genres. Pick your copy up at the library.
Wisconsin Tax Forms (paper copies) are available in the lobby at the Mellen Library & Senior Center.
We hope to see you soon at the library.
