December 18 – Welcome!

We’re pleased to announce that Emily Peters is our newest staff member.  Stop by and welcome her to our library team.

Please note:  If the Mellen School District cancels school for the day or closes early, Legion Memorial Library will do the same.  An update is posted to the library’s Facebook page, as well as on their website.  Thank you for sharing this information.

The Wednesday Book Club will now be meeting at 9 AM.  They’ll be meeting on the 18th to discuss, “Paddling to Winter” by Julie Buckles.  At their January meeting, they’ll be discussing, “Women Rowing North” by Mary Pipher.  If you’d like to become a member, sign-up by contacting the library.  Books are borrowed through inter-library loan, so there is no need to purchase books.  We meet once a month, the third Wednesday of the month at 9 AM.

Recently added DVDs include:  The Angry Birds Movie 2, The Art of Racing in the Rain, Buttons:  A Christmas Tale, City On a Hill:  Season One, Cobra Kai:  Season 1 & 2, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Fast & Furious Presents:  Hobbs & Shaw, Game of Thrones:  The Complete Eighth Season, The Handmaid’s Tale:  Season 3, Hustlers, The Kominsky Method:  The Complete First Season, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Victoria:  Season 3, and Yellowstone:  Season Two.  New things quickly leave our shelves.  If you’re interested in a title, place a hold online or contact the library and we can teach you how to place holds online or do it for you.

Please note the library will be closed on December 24th, 25th, and 31st; as well as January 1st.
