Just for fun … Each month Cheryl searches the internet for information about the daily and varied food celebrations.  You will see these on the library Facebook page and website.  This month we are going to place a basket on the table to collect the food items celebrated in May.  No perishable items please, be creative instead.  Each person that donates an item to the basket will receive a drawing ticket to win the basket at the end of the month. For example:  May first was Salad Day, so I’m going to place a box of ‘Suddenly Salad’ in the basket.  You are not required to place the item of the day in the basket; just an item from one of the days in May.  Here are the days in order:  Salad Day, Truffles Day, Raspberry Tart Day, Orange Juice Day, Enchilada Day, Beverage Day, Roast Leg of Lamb Day, Coconut Cream Pie Day, Foodies Day, Shrimp Day, Eat What You Want Day, Nutty Fudge Day, Fruit Cocktail Day, Buttermilk Biscuit Day, Bread Pudding Day, Mimosa Day, Walnut Day, Cheese Souffle Day, Devil’s Food Cake Day, Quiche Lorraine Day, Strawberries and Cream Day, Vanilla Pudding Day, Taffy Day, Asparagus Day, Iced Coffee Day, Cherry Dessert Day Grape Popsicle Day, Brisket Day, Biscuit Day, Mint Julep Day, and Macaroon Day.  The drawing will take place on Library Board meeting day.  This month it is on Tuesday, May 27th.  We’ll draw for the winner at 5pm.
