Nick VanderPuy has written a book, “Water Protectors: The HELP Campaign to Save the Penokees” a first person account of the 2013-14 campaign to stop a mining operation that would have affected the Lake Superior watershed. Come welcome our fellow community member and learn more about the HELP, Harvest Education Learning Project as the Mellen Friends of Our Wonderful Library host author Nick Vander Puy on Wednesday, February 1st at 6:30 pm. His book will be available for purchase.
Friday night painters enjoyed working with The Art Sherpa online and painting, ‘ Night, Night Gnome’. You may view pictures of our work at the library’s website, legionmemoriallibrary.org in the news section. Our next paint day will be Friday, February 10th. Contact the library to save a spot and receive a list of supplies.
