Author Jeff Hein to Visit Library 10/12/2022

Please join us next Wednesday, October 19th at 6:30 pm as we welcome Jeff Hein, Mellen Class of 1981 at the library.  He will be here to discuss his book “The Cimbri Appear”.  Jeff was born and raised in Wisconsin and served in the U.S. Army for twenty years.  After retiring from the military and returning home to Wisconsin, he served as a county Emergency Management Director and Veteran Service Officer.  He is now retired and lives near Medford, Wisconsin with his wife Dawn and their two lab/shepherd mixes Daisy and Annie, aka Mischief and The Tank.

He holds degrees in Supervisory Management and Business Management and is a member of the Medford American Legion post 147 and VFW post 5729.

During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Jeff decided it was time to move to the next phase in his life which was retiring from the workplace and pursuing a new challenge.  He decided to follow his passion of writing and completed his first novel “The Cimbri Appear”.

Jeff writes historical fiction based on ancient writings and modern archeological discoveries.  He loves to weave the story together with known facts and plausible fiction that fills in the blanks and could very well have been how things happened, keeping the reader engaged, while staying as true as possible to actual history.

Please join us in giving author Jeff Hein a warm welcome.  He will have books to purchase and will sign them for you. The Friends of the Library will be serving refreshments for this event.

This Friday, October 14th the library will host acrylic painting with an online presentation by The Art Sherpa of “Chickadee and Pumpkin” at 12:30 pm & 6:30 pm.  Please call or stop by the library to register and receive a supply list.
