The final session of Library School Storytime for the 2018-19 School Year will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 9 AM. We’ll be reading “Down by the Cool of the Pool” by Tony Titton and learning more about Frogs. Let your reading continue and nurture your young readers by participating in the library’s 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program.

The Friends of the Library’s T-Shirt Contest ends next week on Wednesday, May 1st. Friends will be voting for this year’s winning design at their meeting on Thursday, May 2nd at 5 PM. Plans for the Bellringer Run continue. Check out the Bellringer Run website for updates at mellenbellringer.org.

May’s acrylic painting class will be a YouTube presentation by Painting with Jane, called ‘Impressionist Poppies’. This is a palette knife painting and will be held on Friday, May 10th at 6 PM. Please register at the library in advance as space is limited.

Summer Reading begins June 1st! This year’s theme is ‘A Universe of Stories’ in honor of the 50 year anniversary of a man walking on the moon. Who was that man?
