Start a new hobby in 2023. Join us Friday the 13th to paint, “Night, Night Gnome” online with the Art Sherpa. We offer two different times to get in on the fun 12:30 pm & 6:30 pm. The library will be closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 16th. You may be interested in checking out one of the following DVDs in honor of the day: Our Friend Martin, The Rosa Parks Story, Ruby Bridges, Freedom Riders, Selma, Selma Lord Selma, or Eyes on the Prize/America’s Civil Rights Years. We also have a selection of books to choose from: The Day Martin Luther King, Jr. Was Shot by Jim Haskins, Twelve Days in May/Freedom Ride 1961 by Larry Dane Brimner, Pillar of Fire/America In the King Years 1963-65 and At Canaan’s Edge/America in the King Years 1965-68 both by Taylor Branch, or Death of a King by Tavis Smiley.
