The Friends of the Library will meet on Thursday, May 7th at 5pm. They will be discussing the Two-Mile Bellringer, Summer Reading, the 4th of July 50/50 Raffle, and other items of concern. Following their meeting at about 6pm the Library will be showing, The Housemaid. This movie is based on the books by Freida McFadden. You are welcome to bring your own comfy camp chairs, snacks, and beverages. Popcorn will be supplied.
Thank you to all who attended the informational session about CPR with Jerelyn Koosmann this past Friday. There’s so much to learn! It was a great overview and incentive to take a CPR class for hands-on training and/or certification.
Lego Club members are invited to stop by the library and deconstruct their projects as we prepare for Summer Reading. Thank you for your participation. We look forward to meeting again in the future.
Asahi will continue through the month of May. It is on Wednesdays at 4pm. Stop by and join in this movement exercise which focuses on balance and breathing.
The last Monday Night Book Club of the season will take place on Monday, May 11th at 6pm. We will be discussing “Horse” by Geraldine Brooks. Now is the time to sign up for Summer Reading. We will meet one Monday evening a month at 6pm in June, July, and August. The book selections are based on this year’s Summer Reading theme “Unearth a Story. Books are borrowed through inter-library loan. So, there is no need to purchase books. In June we will discuss “Remarkable Creatures” by Tracy Chevalier, July’s book will be “Dragon Teeth” by Michael Crichton, and in August we will discuss “The Way of the Bear” by Anne Hillerman. Let us know if you’re interested in joining this Summer by contacting the library. We’ll let you know when your copy of the book arrives via the notification method you’ve chosen with your library card.
The Bellringer Run will be held on the 4th of July. It will consist of a 2-mile fun run which will start at 8:30am. $100 sponsorships are arriving, and the Friends of the Library are so thankful for your support.
