Thank you to the Friends of the Library for hosting Michel Tegan’s “Spring Out of Your Shell” program.  We learned how to make our own home front doors more inviting, as well as what we could do to make our library’s front entrance more welcoming.  Think of your front door as your face.  The door represents you and how your greet those you meet.  Your door should be clean with a clear pathway, be identifiable by easy to ready address numbers or fire numbers; have a seasonal display, welcome mat, light, and doorbell or knocker.  We also talked a bit about the history of what was on the library’s space.  We have a picture of the Commercial House that once stood here.  Stop in and share what you know about the history of our library space.  The library has the following books available for checkout as you Spring Out of Your Shell:  The Complete Guide to Feng Shui by Lillian Too, Mindful Homes: Create Healing Living Spaces with Mindfulness and Feng Shui by Anjie Cho and Change Your Space to Change Your Life by Julie Ann Segal.

Jerelyn Koosmann will be presenting a program about CPR-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation on Friday, May 1 at 9:30am at the Library/Senior Center.  This program is an informational overview of the process.  And is free for the public to attend.

If technology is not your strong suit, stop by the library and get some help.  The CLICK (Connecting Lives Through Internet and Community Knowledge) & Learn Program is offered every other Monday at the Library.  Help is available, free of charge, through Digital Navigator, Jake Koval.  He will be here 10am-2pm April 27, May 11, June 8, and June 22.  Stop by with your phone, tablet, and/or laptop questions.  If you are interested in borrowing a laptop to use at home, Jake will also have them available for checkout.  His help is sponsored through grant monies that The Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board received.

We are in search of old pictures of the library’s plays, summer reading, library school, and parade entries.  If you don’t have pictures to share, maybe you have a story.  You may drop off pictures, and we can scan and return them to you, or you may email pictures or stories to [email protected].
