Technology Help
If technology is not your strong suit, stop by the library and get some help. The CLICK (Connecting Lives Through Internet and Community Knowledge) & Learn Program is offered once a week at the Library. Help is available, free of charge, through Digital Navigator, Jake Koval. He will continue to be here on Mondays from 10am-2pm through February with the exception of February 16th, Presidents Day. Stop by with your phone, tablet, and/or laptop questions. If you are interested in borrowing a laptop to use at home, Jake will also have them available for checkout. His help is sponsored through grant monies that The Northwest Wisconsin Workforce Investment Board received.
The Friends of the Library will meet on Thursday, February 5th at 5pm. Join us in planning our library’s Centennial, the Bellringer, and our bookshelf quilt.
Storytime will begin on Thursday, February 5th at 9am and run for 8 weeks. Please join us in reading, singing, crafting, and playing around the theme of “Snow” on the 5th. While reading with your child take time to point to letters that their name starts with. Say the sound of the letter with them. 1000 Books Before Kindergarten will be getting a reboot in February. PBS Education Wisconsin will be sending packets out to libraries soon. We will keep you updated. Help us get the word out about Storytime and 1000 BBK by telling your family, friends, & neighbors. If Storytime does not fit in your schedule, visit the library when it’s the best time for you and your child. There are puzzles, Legos, trains, and blocks to build and play with. There are also a variety of board books to check out. Valentine Take & Make animals are available to pick up and craft at home.
Asahi Nordic Exercise will be offered through the month of February on Wednesday at 4pm. Ashai is a mind-body health practice. This exercise is meant for all ages and abilities. It helps with balance & movement. It does not require a mat or extra equipment. Dress comfortably. Join us during the cold winter months to keep moving as we look forward to warmer weather.
Acrylic Paint Night is set for Friday, February 13 at 6pm. We will paint along with Michelle the Painter to create “Single Red Rose”. Register to attend by calling, 715-274-8331 or stopping by the library to let us know of your interest.
