Bat & Pumpkin Crafts

Stop in and see the fun and spooky Halloween book display by Miss Lori.  There are also a variety of Take & Make crafts available.  Pop-up Pumpkins, Jack-o-Lantern with fan folded arms &legs, and bats.  Stop by and pick-up a craft and books to share with your favorite littles.

Storytime is underway!  Stop by this Thursday the 23rd at 9am with your little ones to enjoy playing, reading, singing, and creating.  The theme this week is “Scarecrows”.  There will be no Storytime on October 30th.  We will meet again on November 6th at 9am with the theme “Farms”.  This program is planned for 3-year-olds to attend with their adult caregiver.

Movie Night at the Library on Friday, October 24th at 7pm.  We will show “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”.  There will be door prizes and Harry Potter inspired treats.  You are welcome to bring your own comfy chairs, snacks, and beverages.  If you’d like to dress up, please do.  Saturday, November 1st at 7pm we will show “Wicked”.  Then we will be ready for “Wicked: For Good” which will be in theaters later in the month.  Both of these movies are based on books which may be checked out from the library.

Baker & Taylor is where we have been purchasing the majority of our books, since before I started working as the library director over 20+ years ago.  They recently and unexpectedly went out of business.  We are now looking to fill our book orders through other vendors.  There will be a bit of a lag time in shelving newly released books as I set up accounts with new vendors.  Those new vendors will be working hard to fulfill orders for all of us who purchased from Baker & Taylor.  Please be patient as we work through this change.  Thank you.
