Santa Claus is Coming to Town!
The Mellen Lions Club will once again be hosting the Claus’s visit the year and they will be here at the library a bit earlier than they have been in the past. Mark your calendars for Santa & Mrs. Claus’s visit on Saturday, November 30th 10am-Noon. Be sure to bring your cameras to capture pictures of your family and the jolly couple as well as your letters to share with them. Each child will receive a book. Children will also receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a bike, which will be drawn for at noon. Please encourage your family, friends and neighbors to stop by with their youngsters and visit with Santa & Mrs. Claus.
In preparation for the Claus’s visit, help us decorate the library. Stop in and make an ornament from a wood slice cookie to decorate our tree. Interested in stringing popcorn? We’d love some help. Add a loop or two to our paper chain. We’ll also have some decorative letter paper for you to pick up and write your letters to Santa.
There are only a couple more sessions of Asahi Nordic Exercise left this year, Wednesday November 20th and 27th at 4pm. Naomi Kauppi will lead us in this gentle mind and body health exercise. The library has a book available for check out “Asahi the Nordic Health Practice” and there are online videos available to follow along while we take a break in December. We hope to start back up in January 2025.

We will also have crafts set out for the kids to work on in the afternoons.
