Snow is falling once again!  Those who enjoy snowshoeing, skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and all the rest of the cold weather, snow dependent outside activities are enjoying the extended season.  While some would prefer to skip over the mud straight to warmth, budding trees, flowers, and weeds (Well maybe not the weeds).  I’m not sure what the weather was like in 1927, but I do know our community was getting ready to open their new library in the American Legion’s meeting room at City Hall on March 12, 1927.  Why not make it a point to stop by the library sometime this month and see what’s new and get a library card if you don’t already have one.

With your library card you may access a variety of new online resources available from our library’s website, ‘legionmemoriallibrary.org’.  They are Transparent Languages, Creativebug, and Kanopy. You’ll also find ‘The Catalog’ formerly known as the Merlin Catalog, for viewing and placing holds for books and DVDs.  Online resources for ebooks, audio, and magazines are also available from our website.  Would you like an in-person tour of the website?  Stop by the library and we’ll help you navigate it.

If you prefer to stay indoors with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa and read . . . Stop by the library and browse our shelves for your next book.  If needed, we have a nice selection of gardening books that may help tide you over for a while.

The Friends meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, March 16th at 5 pm.  Please join us in our preparations to host the 2023 Bellringer Run.
