2024 Friends of the Library’s Bellringer Run Sponsors

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to our 2024 Bellringer Sponsors.  Your support means the world to us.  Please take note of our sponsors and share your thanks with them.  Just as important, take time to patronize their business as you are able.  Our small community is able to do much because of the care we take of one another.

Summer Reading is underway and the kids vs. adults reading challenge is on.  Kids overwhelmingly voted to have the Tortoise be their mascot which leaves the adults as the Hares.  We’ll see how this race comes out in the end.  For now, it is holding true,  the Hares are ahead by a mile.  Sure, hope those Tortoises are reading, slow and steady …

We’re offering a variety of Summer programming for all ages.  There will be a Storytime for 3–5-year-olds on Wednesday mornings in July.  Sign up at the Library so we can plan accordingly.  Kids in 1st-5th Grades will begin programming on Tuesday, June 25th at 10am.  Their first program is “Adventure Maps” with Miss Lori.  Adults are invited to a movie night on Thursday, June 27th at 7pm.  We’ll be showing “Arthur the King”.  The movie is based on a true story about Michael Light and a dog in the Adventure Racing World Championship set in the Dominican Republic.  The movie stars Mark Wahlberg.  And tweens & teens have a paint day on Friday, June 28th at 12:30pm.  It’s an online tutorial with The Art Sherpa to paint an “Abstract 4th of July”.

Thank you to The Friends Place volunteers for watering our planters:  Betty White, Kay Reader, and Marcy Henry.

There’s still time to sign up for the Friends of the Library’s Bellringer Run.  Register online here: https://register.chronotrack.com/r/79567  or pick-up a paper copy at the library.

Hope to see you soon at the library!
