Summer Reading Challenge 8/10/2022
Last Summer Reading Storytime will be Thursday, August 11th at 9 am. Stop in and listen as we read, “A House for Hermit Crab” by Eric Carle.
There’s still room in both sessions of Friday’s acrylic painting for teens & adults. This session we’ll be painting, “Sunset Ocean” online with The Art Sherpa. Stop by the library to register and pick up a supply list.
Reading Challenge points are accepted through August 31st. The adults are oh so close to having 100% of their team achieving 50 reading points. This will be a first for us. I hope it happens!
The last of our Summer Reading Book Club meetings will take place on Monday, August 15th. We’ll be discussing, “Still Summer” by Jacquelyn Mitchard. Bring a chair with you. If it’s nice outside, we’ll chat outside. Lists for our 2022-2023 Book Clubs will be available then. Let us know if you are interested in joining one club or another. One meets the 2nd Monday of the month at 6 pm and the other 3rd Wednesday morning of the month at 9 am. We welcome new members!
Someone stopped in and said if you like Wisconsin mysteries to try the “Loon Lake Mysteries” by Victoria Houston and the “Dave Cubiak Door County Mysteries” by Patricia Skalka. We love to share recommendations. Let us know what you recommend.
The Friends are gearing up for the Fall Quilt Raffle. Tickets are available from the library for $1 each. We hope to have the quilt on display soon.
