There is still plenty of time to earn your reading medals.  All it takes is 50 reading points.  That’s 50 picture books, 10 intermediate or ‘J’ or non-fiction books, or any combination of those groups.  You have until the end of August to earn those reading points.  Twelve young people have already earned their medals:  Axel & Dax Vernoski, Olivia Boley, Caleb & Liam Denny, Everett & Tessa Fisher, Hunter & Peyton Schutte, Mackenzie Schutte, Christian & Victor Cegler.  Congratulations!

I recently sent out two email surveys to past members of our Library Book Clubs and Asahi Nordic Exercise group.  I’m gathering input about our book selections for the next 9 months and about the time & place of our Asahi gatherings.  If you did not receive an email.  Give me a call or stop by the library and I will give you a printed copy of the survey.
On Friday, July 25th from 9am-Noon there will be a Friends of the Library Used Book Sale at The Friends Place.  We’ll also have Legos set out for the kids to enjoy.  In case of rain, we will still host the book sale and Lego day inside the library.  Fill up a bag of books for $1.

Axel Vernoski is the Ashland Bay Cinema gift certificate winner this week.  Just one more week left to enter.
