Author & Asahi
Wednesday afternoon, February 25th at 3 pm stop by the library to meet and greet Debra Hautala Wahlberg. Deb is from Ironwood Michigan and has written her memoir “Living in Triumph, Victory Over Fear.” Her book opens with the quote “We must not be defined by the bad things that happen to us, and we cannot wait until everything is okay in order to be happy.” – Nightbirde. It is an inspirational story of the joys and the hardships in her life, the love of her family and her musical gifts, and how God’s presence sustained her. Her books will be available for purchase and she’ll be happy to sign them. Deb is also a certified Asahi Nordic Exercise instructor and will stay on after her presentation to enjoy Asahi with us. Asahi begins at 4pm. We invite you to stop by for Deb’s book talk and stay and enjoy Asahi with us.
February is Love Your Library Month! This is the last week to enter the drawing for a $50 gift card. To enter share how the library has made your life better on a paper form from the library, turn it in to the library staff, and it will be entered to win.
Lego Club is back in session. Join us after school on Thursdays at the library. There are weekly theme challenges or make a creation of your choice. Students’ creations will be on display in the library.
Check out the Friends of the Library’s Used Book Sale. Donations for books taken are added to the Friends of the Library’s account. Recommendations are to fill a bag for $1 or 25 cents a book. With funds raised, the Friends purchase books, programming and refreshments, flowers for The Friends Place, coffee supplies for the Keurig station, Summer Reading prizes and more.
The library is collecting food donations for The Brick. There is a cart by our front door to drop off items. Thank you for your help in filling the cart.
