Library School Storytime

Cornucopia Craft for Kids
Asahi Nordic Exercise has moved in doors and will now meet in the afternoon at 4pm Please join us for this exercise which focuses on breathing, moving, and balancing. We are a fun, relaxed group and welcome new people to join. The Friends of the Library have taken on the cost of our instructor’s gas mileage, as she travels all the way from Bessemer. The library does not charge for programs. We do have a donation basket, if you wish to add a little something for our instructor’s time & knowledge. You may check this website for more information, https://www.asahiworld.com/ or stop in on Wednesday afternoon at 4 to give it a try and see if it is a good fit for you.
Library School Storytime meets on Thursdays at 9am. We will skip Thanksgiving and hold our last session on December 4th. We take time to sing, read, play,
and check out books. We will focus on vegetables next time and make a paper cornucopia. If you are unable to join us Thursday mornings, remember we do have a 1000 Books Before Kindergarten program, patch program, and Take & Make crafts available. Stop in the library with your youngsters play with the puzzles, Legos, or trains. Then find some books to take home and share.
Santa & Mrs. Claus will be visiting us at the library on Saturday, November 29th from 10am-Noon. Bring your letters and be ready to take pictures. The Claus Couple can’t wait to see you all again this year. The Mellen Lions Club will once again purchase books for the children to choose from. They will be able to pick one to take home and keep as their very own. They will also be holding a drawing for a bike. Make a date to visit with Santa & the Mrs. with family, friends, & neighbors.
In preparation for The Claus’s visit, we will be decorating the library. There’s no school the last week of November so stop by the library for a morning movie and work on crafts to decorate or space from 10am-noon, Monday- Wednesday.
Mark your calendars now to attend a special Friday afternoon program with Amy Janecek, Ashland County Benefit Specialist. Amy will be here Friday, November 14 at 3pm to present a Q&A Session regarding Medicare Part C & D options for 2026.
