DESCRIPTION:Stop by the library Thursday night and bring your own handcrafts to work on.  Enjoy the company of fellow crafters.  If you’d like to learn how to knit\, we’d like to help you get started.  The first project we recommend is a cotton dish cloth.  We have a pattern available.  If you let us know in advance\, we can loan you some knitting needles and have cotton yarn available. \nEach year we donated hand made items to another non-profit.  This year we are making lap quilts for the Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center in Ashland. \nPLEASE NOTE:  If Mellen School has been CLOSED the day of this event\, it will not take place.

DESCRIPTION:An audio educational program\, “Conscientious Eating:  Mental Health\, Inflammation and the Aging Brain” by Lisa Goehler\, Ph.D. is being offered at the Library.  The Highbridge Community Homemakers will be our hosts.  It will begin Monday\, February 25th at 12:30 PM.  It will continue on March 4th\, 11th & 18th.  All audio presentations will begin at 12:30 PM and are about an hour in length.  Everyone is welcome to join us. \nPlease note:  If Mellen School has been CLOSED the day of this event\, the event will be rescheduled.

DESCRIPTION:Stop by the library Thursday night and bring your own handcrafts to work on.  Enjoy the company of fellow crafters.  If you’d like to learn how to knit\, we’d like to help you get started.  The first project we recommend is a cotton dish cloth.  We have a pattern available.  If you let us know in advance\, we can loan you some knitting needles and have cotton yarn available. \nEach year we donated hand made items to another non-profit.  This year we are making lap quilts for the Northwest Wisconsin Cancer Center in Ashland. \nPLEASE NOTE:  If Mellen School has been CLOSED the day of this event\, it will not take place.

DESCRIPTION:This week’s book is:  Punk Farm by Jarrett J. Krosoczka. \nLibrary School Storytime is planned with 3 year olds in mind\, but children of all ages are welcome to participate as they are able.   It is a program for a child to attend with their adult caregiver.   We read a book\, sing\, say poems or rhymes\, and make a craft to take home.  It’s a nice time to get together and meet other kids and their parents (or grandparents). \nNo Library School Storytime next week\, but we’ll begin another 8 week session on Thursday\, March 7th. \nPLEASE NOTE:  If Mellen School has been CLOSED the day of this event\, it will not take place.
